Membership is open to all. An individual subscription is £30 p.a., double £56 p.a. for 10 lectures (£11 p.a. for students). Study days and visits are charged separately. Temporary members may attend up to three lectures at £7 per lecture, or £1 if they are students. Special rates are applicable if you join mid or late season.
As DDFAS is a registered charity, unlike many other NADFAS societies, there is no waiting list. The subscription year runs from 1 October to 30 September (there are normally no activities in August nor September).
Membership of DDFAS automatically confers membership of NADFAS (National Association of Decorative & Fine Arts Societies). Members receive the beautifully illustrated quarterly NADFAS Review and a NADFAS membership card entitling holders to free or reduced entry to many museums, galleries and other places of interest.
Details of the forthcoming season, booking and membership renewal forms are mailed to members by post or email, according to preference, in September each year. Another mailing follows in January with booking forms for the Spring study day and visits. In April the AGM booklet is sent, together with details of any other events taking place.
